International Commencing Scholarships - for commencing Computer Science and IT international students

The International Commencing Scholarships are available only to international students who are commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate program in the School of Computer Science and IT run at the City campus (Melbourne) of RMIT University for the first time.

Previous or current RMIT undergraduate students who may not be eligible for this scholarship are welcome to consider our Alumni Loyalty Program.

The International Commencing Scholarships are a reduction of AUD$3,000 (pro-rata) in a program’s annual tuition fee for the normal duration of the program. They are available for the following programs only:

Undergraduate:
BP094 Bachelor of Computer Scienceincluding:
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Application Programming)
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Network Programming)
- Bachelor of Computer Science (System Administration)
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Web Systems)
BP096 Bachelor of Software Engineering (excluding internship year)
BP098 Bachelor of Information Technology (Computing and Internet Technology)
BP162 Bachelor of Information Technology including:
- Bachelor of Information Technology (Application Programming)
- Bachelor of Information Technology (Network Programming)
- Bachelor of Information Technology (System Administration)
- Bachelor of Information Technology (Web Systems)

Postgraduate:
MC060 Master of Computer Science
MC061 Master of Information Technology
MC062 Master of Computing
MC063 Master of Technology (Internet and Web Computing)
MC152 Master of Technology (Enterprise Architecture)

Eligibility
You must meet all of the following criteria:

You do intend to enrol in one of the above programs.
This is your first undergraduate or postgraduate enrolment at the School of Computer Science and IT.
You have excellent results in your previous study placing you in at least the top 5% of students. (Previous RMIT undergraduate students will need a Cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 to be eligible for a commencing postgraduate scholarship.)
The duration of your intended study at our City campus is at least
1 year (2 semesters) for undergraduate students; OR
1.5 years (3 semesters) for postgraduate students.


To be considered for a scholarship
Before you can be considered for an International Commencing Scholarship you must have already applied for one of the programs listed above. If you have not, please go to "www.rmit.edu.au/international/apply" for information on how to apply.

If you have already applied and received an offer into a program but not a scholarship, and believe you meet the above criteria then please send an email quoting your file number to:
